We stay at York St John University which is slap bang in the centre of York on Mayor's walk.

York is a natural choice for the course as there are so many good organs in walking distance. We use St Helen's, St Olave's (pronounced Olive's), the RC St Wilfrid's and the large organ in the Central Methodist Chapel.

Our last course was on 1/2 June 2010. We had four volunteer organists attending who were all local and who thoroughly enjoyed the organs we managed to get onto.

The vicar of St. Helen's was especially helpful to us when we were unable to access the booked organ in another place. A special pleasure was to be able to use the large three-manual organ in the Central Methodist Hall.

Here are our organists enjoying the sunshine outside the Crush Bar in York St. John's University before setting out for another tutorial.
