On
the top floor of Sarum College in Salisbury, there is a church music resource library that has been growing over the last
four years. With funds from the Diocese and STETS, the library has been able to stock most new titles that have appeared in
recent years with a wide range of music from Iona, Decani Music, Kevin Mayhew, Taize, Church House Publishing, RSCM and
many other publishers.
The
facility to see a wide range of published music available for use in worship and to be able to hear recordings or play through
music using headphones, now enables individuals or parish groups to make an informed choice with confidence.
If
you want to just browse the library, then this is free. If you want to borrow items from the library, you will need to be
a paid-up member of the Sarum College Library.
Bringing
the library to you!
Many
people in parishes may feel that Salisbury is too far a distance to travel but would be interested in using the resource if
it were brought to them.
Bookings
to bring the CMRL to a Parish or Deanery meeting may be arranged through Robert Fielding. Phone 01722 741154 or write to The
Library, Sarum College, 19 The Close, Salisbury, Wilts SP1 2EE.
IF
YOU HAVE ANY MATERIAL WHICH YOU THINK WOULD BE OF INTEREST TO OTHERS, PLEASE LET US HAVE A COPY FOR INCLUSION IN THE LIBRARY.
